RI SUN Energy Startup Gaet Huawei To Make Solar Panel Monitoring Technology

Solar energy startup SUN Energy launched the first Internet of Things (IoT)-based Solar Power Plant (PLTS) performance monitoring room in Indonesia. This startup also attracted a Chinese technology giant, Huawei. SUN Energy CEO Phillip Lee said that the solar power plant performance monitoring room was called SUN Energy Tech Space. In that room, SUN Energy's expert team can monitor and control the performance of solar power plant systems spread throughout Indonesia to Thailand.

The installed device system is capable of identifying, informing and diagnosing problems. "As a result, the operation and maintenance of the solar energy system at the customer's location can be monitored in real-time," Phillip said in a press conference.

With the help of Huawei technology, the device features in SUN Energy Tech Space can prioritize proactive safety aspects and provide an experience of technological developments with IoT connectivity, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The technology is able to help the solar power plant system be monitored anywhere and anytime.  SUN Energy is a solar energy startup that was founded in 2016. SUN Energy provides integrated services for customers to achieve the sustainable development goals in Asia Pacific.

"Since its establishment in 2016, SUN Energy's portfolio has spread across more than 25 cities in Indonesia and three other countries. We bagged a 280 megawatt peak (MWp) project," said SUNterra & SUN Mobility Chief Executive Officer Fanda Soesilo.

A number of corporations from various sectors became customers of SUN Energy, for example Sinarmas Land, Unilever to Djarum.
